I want to thank you for your interest in the Dalmar plating systems. Dalmar has produced plating equipment for the industry since 1971. Don't let our low prices fool you. When you purchase equipment from us, you are buying direct from the manufacturer. We produce our own plating machines and chemicals, eliminating the distributor, salesman and all the other added expenses.

People are always asking "How hard is to plate something and how long will it take me to learn to plate". Here are some pictures that were sent to me by Bill Hodges after having his set for only 2 days. I don't think I have to say how pleased he is with our products. Things to compare when choosing a plating system:

	Dalmar has the experience to answer your questions, no matter if you are restoring a car, plating car emblems, jewelry, motorcycle parts or non metallic items. And we will help you no matter where you bought your original equipment. Even if it was from a competitor. Does our competitor have the knowledge and the willingness to help you?
	Does the company manufacture their own products, or do they purchase them from someone else, markup the price and sell it to you at 4 to 5 times what the price should be? Are there a lot of added extras in the plating set just to raise the price?
	Many companies sell plating machines that are just too high powered. You can not hurry the process by running the rectifier too high. You will only burn the metal, thus making the color too dark. Also a lot of companies sell fixed voltage rectifiers or automatic rectifiers. These operate at one voltage and can not be adjusted to match the different voltage settings needed to use a wide range of chemicals. They are usually nothing more than 12 volt power supplies and are locked in at 12 volts. Different chemicals operate at different voltages and amperages. You need a machine that is fully adjustable in both volts and amps. You also want a machine that you can see the meters when you are working. Hiding them under a seat or stool as some manufacturers do, does not make sense. Would you buy a car that had the speedometer and other gauges under the seat where they are not accessible to you? Our machines always run at the proper range. They can be adjusted by either voltage or amperage.
	Dalmar rectifiers will operate both tank and brush plating, as well as electroform. Most companies machines can only brush plate.
	Dalmar has been in business since 1971.. Has the company you are considering, been in business long enough to stand behind a guarantee? Nobody can stand behind a guarantee if they are no longer in business.
	All Dalmar chemicals come ready to use. Some companies expect you to mix your own chemicals and to buy some chemicals locally. No one will sell you acids and such if you are not in the chemical business, not with all the lawsuits out there. When you are buying chemicals that are premixed you know you are getting professional quality chemicals with no chance for error.
	How expensive is it to get started in business? Dalmar has kits starting as low as $580.00.
	How hard is it to plate something? 70 to 80% of the work in Chrome plating is in the preparation, buffing and polishing. Remember that whatever the finish is on the nickel before you apply the chrome will determine the finish on the chrome. If your nickel has a high polish then your chrome will have a high polish. If the nickel has a satin finish or contains scratches then your chrome will have a satin finish or contain scratches. The same thing applies to gold.

Did You Buy Your Machine From Someone Other Than Dalmar ?

We get a lot of letters from customers complaining that the company that they bought their machines from will not support them if they use chemicals from us. Some companies don't support their customers at all or will give you all the help that you need if it doesn't go over 30 seconds. If a plating machine is designed properly it should work with chemicals from other companies. We know that our chemicals will work with any machine that has the proper voltage and amperage adjustments. If the company that you bought your kit from won't support you, don't worry because we will support you. We have been in this business since 1971 which is a lot longer than most of our competitors. We can help you with your problems and we are not afraid to answer questions even if you bought your original kit from another company that won't help you or has gone out of business. A lot of our customers started out with other companies and after finding us and realizing they paid too much from their original source they have switched to our company for their supplies.

Our chemicals will work with other machines and we will give you technical support no matter where you purchased your machine or how long you have had it. There is no charge for this service.

New Large Electroforming Kit

Our customers have been requesting a larger kit for commercial applications of electroforming. This is the kit for our customers who want to do larger pieces or more pieces at one time when electroforming. to add brush or pen plating at a later date. It has a larger rectifier which will allow you to run up to 190 square inches at one time. If you are thinking about plating jewelry on a larger scale then our "Professional Tank Plating Kit" then this is the kit for you. This kit is for plating in tank solutions. It does not contain brush-plating equipment. It contains 2 gallons of Copper Electroforming solution so that you can do larger items as well as many multiple pieces in the Electroforming tank. Since the copper step will take from 2 to 8 hours you want to run as many pieces at one time as possible for production. The other solutions are 1 quart size since you will only be plating them for one and a half to 2 minutes each, you don't need as large of a tank. It contains:

Tank Plating On Aluminum

Tank plating of Aluminum is now possible with the introduction of Dalmar Zincate. This method of plating aluminum is a lot simpler then brush plating. If you already have purchased Dalmar tank plating chemicals or a kit that includes tank plating, then you already have the majority of the equipment needed. New Commercial Kit

By popular demand we have included a commercial kit for the automotive and motorcycle customers. This kit includes our largest rectifier, a 50 amp unit for running those larger tanks, 10 gallons of copper alkaline base tank solution for plating over steel, pot metal and such, 10 gallons of copper acid base for heavy build-up as well as electroforming which is the plating of non-metallics like plastic etc. It also contains 10 gallons of nickel solution, 10 gallons of zincate for tank plating of aluminum, chrome stripper, nickel activator, 4 wands for brush plating, a multi-wand interface for running 4 wands at one time. Two New Plating Machines, 20, and 50 amp For Those

Our customers have asked us to design a machine for plating wheels. We are now manufacturing 2 machines that fit the job. They come in 20, and 50 amp models. Multiple Wand Interface

A control box for plugging one wand in reverse mode and three wands in plating mode at the same time. It plugs into your present rectifier to give you this increased capacity. Some customers like to have a wand for each solution plugged into the rectifier at the same time so that they don't have to switch wands.

Tarnish Preventative

Tarnish Preventative is a dip solution that will coat and protect an item from tarnishing. Treatment will leave a thin protective coating which does not effect solder ability. Works on silver, copper, brass or plated gold.

Restoration Of Old Cars

With more and more of the large platers going out of business due to the EPA restrictions on tank chrome plating, a growing market has developed for small companies and hobbyists to chrome plate. What makes this possible is that brush chrome plating is considered environmental friendly due to the lack of releasing acids into the air and the fact that we are not producing large amounts of waste water. Also in brush plating all of the chemical is used up. There is no need to dispose of anything. This has lead to a great opportunity for new businesses.

Also who hasn't heard all of the horror stories about sending rare parts to a plater and having them lose the parts. And of course nothing is worse then when you are trying to finish a car and someone tells you it will be 4 to 6 months to get your parts back.
